Hi, looked at an Audi A6,2. I had a look and could see below the headlamp on the near side, close to the sensor that had just been replaced, that a wire had broken, I managed to access this and repair the wire, it was brown with a blue trace and went to the sensor, I congratulated myself on a good fix and ran the engine, still the same, same fault code, still permanent.

After this I ran out of time and had to leave, I did print off the code, but left it behind, so I have done the cardinal sin and posted with no fault code, sorry Kev, Angus, Crasher et alI will get the code from the garage monday morning i usually save a copy on my laptop, dont know why I didnt tdidn'time.

Audi Engine Fault Codes

This is a shift soleniod. I am not sure where exactly but have a look around the gearbox. Cheers rob, Mine car is a manual, I think it might be the solenoid at the front of the engine on the EGR its making some high pitched noises I think this is the turbo charger waste gate solenoid valve?? Don't suppose anyone knows about these do they???

The wastegate solenoid is the N If you think there are problems with the EGR or N75, you could try doing a output test on the engine controller. It will step you through it and you can hear everything working. It will then show whether there are any problems with the outputs. N88 is definitely transmission, however, it could be something else throwing that out.

I then drove the one mile or so back to the workshop and it drove fine with the load going down to 1. The soot loading is The pressure sensor reads 8 but doesnt show a unit of measurement and goes to wot on the road.

I took the pressure sensor off the pipes and started it and reved it and there was no excessive black smoke so put the sensor back on and then removed the lambda sensor to view the dpf with a camera sooty as to be expected but structurally it was ok.
